【SDGs】伝統文化から環境にやさしいアートを生み出す

枯れた盆栽を新たな作品として生まれ変わらせている鈴木良夫さん。日本の伝統文化である盆栽は、手入れが難しく育て上げるのに時間を要するため、どうしても商品にならないものや枯れてしまったものは廃棄されていました。そこで廃棄予定だった盆栽に独自の技術を加え取り組みをスタート。これからも多くの人へ盆栽を手軽に楽しめる形として広め、環境への配慮を促すメッセージとして伝えていきたいと語る鈴木さんの思い描く未来とは？

Mr. Yoshio Suzuki is transforming withered bonsai into new works of art. Bonsai, a traditional Japanese art form, is difficult to maintain and requires a great deal of time to cultivate. As a result, many bonsai trees that cannot be sold or have withered are simply discarded. Mr. Suzuki started this initiative by applying his unique technique to these discarded bonsai trees. He says he wants to continue spreading the joy of bonsai in a way that is easy for more people to access and convey a message of environmental awareness. What kind of future does Mr. Suzuki envision?
